At Maria’s Pantry, we’re a family-owned, neighbourhood business built around our love of authentic Italian food. Everything we make is handmade with fresh, quality ingredients, from our mozzarella and burrata to our lasagna and fresh pasta. Our food is traditional and uncomplicated—the kind of food meant to be shared, enjoyed, and made with care.

We’re proud to bring a little taste of Italy to our Dartmouth community, and we’re grateful to have our family be a part of yours.

Our Story

In 2019, we started selling our sauces at local farmers markets with a bigger dream. In 2020, that dream became Maria’s Pantry & Pasta Bar in downtown Dartmouth.

Inspired by his Nonna Maria, Michael grew up learning to cook and make pasta alongside her. His family came to Canada from Italy in 1960, bringing with them the traditions and love of food that continue to inspire us today.

Together, Michael and Louisa have built Maria’s into a family business where we share the food we love with our community.
